Tim Hoswitschka joins the Internet Society as Senior Director, Partnerships and Development. He will be responsible for developing and leading ISOC’s global fundraising strategy. He will be tasked with creating and developing partnerships that raise awareness of the Internet Society’s mission and work, and increasing its membership and sponsorship programs working in collaboration with the Stakeholder Relations and Partnership Development team and colleagues across the organization.

Tim joins the Internet Society from the Canadian Red Cross, where he spent over 16 years in fundraising and corporate relations. He was most recently National Director of Corporate Relations, responsible for implementing a corporate sponsorship program that included one of the largest corporate partnerships within Red Cross globally. He was also part of the senior management team that developed a long-term plan to double Canadian Red Cross fundraising results.  

Prior to that, he was Fundraising and Corporate Relations Manager for the Canadian Red Cross in charge of national partnerships and developing strategies for donor acquisition.  In addition to experience in business development, fundraising, public relations and marketing, Tim’s career includes working for Weber Shandwick; a leading global communications agency, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Tim has a B.A. degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa. He is a native English speaker and speaks some French.

He will be based in Ottawa, Ontario.
