Kellee Elkins joined the Internet Society in July 2013. She works in Global Engagement as the Internet Leadership Logistical Coordinator responsible for facilitating our next generation leadership initiatives including our fellowship and ambassadorship programmes.

Kellee began her career as a Consumer/Industry Liaison for the White House Office of Consumer Affairs concentrating on telecommunications, multiculturalism and environmental education. After serving under two Administrations, she moved to the non-profit world where she served as a key member of management teams for a range of organizations including the Association for the Study of Dreams, Sierra Club, Center for Mind Body Medicine, and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax. Kellee also served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in the Sub-Saharan African country of Namibia where she co-managed a computer lab and training center for a regional teacher resource centre, and participated in the development of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strategic Plan for Education in Namibia. 

Kellee graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration on International Relations, Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Kellee is native to Northern Virginia, however she has traveled to 23 countries, and in the past six years has lived on three different continents.

Kellee is based in Reston, Virginia, United States.
